Apple, Microsoft, WhatsApp, Samsung, and Facebook’s designs feature the full animal; Google and Twitter's designs feature a head with a short mane and black muzzle. Facebook’s design previously featured only a zebra head, as did Samsung's.
Zebra was approved as part of Unicode 10.0 in 2017 under the name “Zebra Face” and added to Emoji 5.0 in 2017.
